Endogenous transcription factor — not a vial product

FOXO4

Forkhead box O4 transcription factor — ≠ FOXO4-DRI senolytic peptide.

Editorial review:
What evidence says

Evidence snapshot

This drawer marks papers. It is not a plan, a dose, or a source. A paper is a bounded report. It is not a protocol. Grades name the object. They are not a safety rating.

Identity lock. FOXO4 is an endogenous Forkhead box O4 transcription factor (protein), not a research peptide sold as a vial. It participates in stress response, differentiation, and p53 interaction / senescence biology. ≠ FOXO4-DRI (synthetic D-retro-inverso senolytic peptide — separate drawer). No small-molecule PubChem peptide CID is used for the native transcription factor in this pack. This drawer marks molecular/biology papers. It is not use advice.

Bottom line

FOXO4 literature here is mechanistic: FOXO4–p53 biophysics, cancer/senescence context, and developmental roles. Do not grade FOXO4 protein biology as evidence that injectable “FOXO4” peptides work in humans. Senolytic intervention claims belong only under the FOXO4-DRI drawer — and even there remain preclinical.

Papers

FOXO4–p53 / senescence mechanism (endogenous TF)

PMID 34954873 — Kim 2022

Tested: biophysical investigation of dual binding surfaces of human transcription factors FOXO4 and p53.

Does not show: human senolytic drug efficacy, or that a gray-market peptide is FOXO4.

PMID 35481640 — Mandal 2022

Tested: FOXO4 interacting with p53 TAD and CRD and inhibiting p53 DNA binding (molecular mechanism).

Does not show: a clinical anti-aging indication.

PMID 21613825 — Zhang 2011

Tested: review of FoxO family members in cancer.

Does not show: injectable FOXO4 peptide therapy.

PMID 23551888 — Vilchez 2013

Tested: FOXO4 necessity for neural differentiation of human embryonic stem cells.

Does not show: consumer neurogenesis claims from peptide vials.

Pointer — senolytic peptide is a different object

PMID 28340339 — Baar 2017

Tested: targeted apoptosis of senescent cells with a FOXO4-directed peptide restoring tissue homeostasis in chemotoxicity/aging models (FOXO4-DRI object).

Does not show: FOXO4 protein itself as a drug; full grading lives in the FOXO4-DRI drawer — listed here only as a cross-link warning.

What is not established

That endogenous FOXO4 transcription-factor papers justify unlabeled “FOXO4” peptide products. Human clinical anti-aging efficacy for FOXO4 modulation outside carefully labeled investigational programs. Equivalence of FOXO4 and FOXO4-DRI. This drawer does not provide use advice, schedules, or sourcing.
