Kisspeptin-10

KISS1R agonist decapeptide (KP-10) — ≠ KP-54; human LH physiology; no consumer fertility label assumed.

Editorial review:
What evidence says

Evidence snapshot

This drawer marks papers. It is not a plan, a dose, or a source. A paper is a bounded report. It is not a protocol. Grades name the object. They are not a safety rating.

Identity lock. Kisspeptin-10 (KP-10; metastin 45–54) is the C-terminal decapeptide of kisspeptin that activates the KISS1R/GPR54 receptor. Human KP-10 sequence Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH2. PubChem CID 25240297; formula C63H83N17O14 / MW 1302.4; CAS 374675-21-5. ≠ Kisspeptin-54 (longer endogenous fragment used in many Dhillo/Jayasena clinical papers — related pathway, different peptide length). ≠ gonadorelin / GnRH, ≠ hCG/hMG. This drawer marks papers. It is not use advice.

Bottom line

Human experimental medicine shows KP-10 stimulates LH (and in some contexts testosterone) with sexual dimorphism and disease-context differences (e.g. men with type 2 diabetes). Longer kisspeptin-54 has a richer trigger/amenorrhea clinical set — cite as related object, not automatic KP-10 proof. Antidoping detection methods exist. No approved consumer fertility-peptide product should be assumed from these physiology papers alone.

Papers

Human KP-10 administration (identity-matched)

PMID 21632807 — George 2011

Tested: kisspeptin-10 as a potent stimulator of LH that increases pulse frequency in men (human experimental medicine).

Does not show: an approved infertility drug label for KP-10 vials, or equivalence to kisspeptin-54 IVF-trigger programs.

PMID 21976724 — Jayasena 2011

Tested: effects of kisspeptin-10 on reproductive hormone release showing sexual dimorphism in humans.

Does not show: that female and male responses are interchangeable, or a consumer dosing license (never provided here).

PMID 23153270 — George 2013

Tested: kisspeptin-10 stimulating serum testosterone and LH in men with type 2 diabetes (pathophysiology/exploratory endocrine study).

Does not show: a diabetes or hypogonadism approval package for KP-10.

PMID 38978171 — Colpaert 2024

Tested: analytical detection of kisspeptin-10 in urine (antidoping / LC-HRMS method development).

Does not show: clinical efficacy.

Related kisspeptin-54 clinical object (NOT automatic KP-10 proof)

PMID 16174713 — Dhillo 2005

Tested: kisspeptin-54 stimulating the HPG axis in human males — KP-54 ≠ KP-10.

Does not show: KP-10 identity match; pathway context only.

PMID 24517142 — Jayasena 2014

Tested: intravenous infusion of kisspeptin-54 increasing LH pulsatility in women with hypothalamic amenorrhoea — KP-54 object.

Does not show: KP-10 proof by substitution.

PMID 26192876 — Abbara 2015

Tested: efficacy of kisspeptin-54 to trigger oocyte maturation in women at high OHSS risk during IVF — KP-54 clinical object.

Does not show: that KP-10 is an approved IVF trigger.

PMID 28112678 — Comninos 2017

Tested: kisspeptin modulating sexual and emotional brain processing in humans (kisspeptin pathway neuroimaging/experimental medicine; length framing as reported in paper — keep pathway-level, not vial claims).

Does not show: a libido-drug approval for KP-10.

Pathway reviews

PMID 32427949 — Navarro 2020

Tested: review of metabolic regulation of kisspeptin linking energy balance and reproduction.

Does not show: primary KP-10 RCT data.

PMID 30205368 — Trevisan 2018

Tested: review of the kisspeptin/GPR54 system in human reproduction.

Does not show: product-specific KP-10 approval.

What is not established

That KP-10 equals KP-54 clinical results. Approved consumer fertility or “libido peptide” status for KP-10. Long-term safety of repeated unregulated KP-10 use. Product identity for gray-market kisspeptin preparations. This drawer does not provide use advice, schedules, or sourcing.
