FDA-approved medicines exist for specific indications

Triptorelin Acetate

GnRH agonist (D-Trp6-LHRH) — labeled oncology/endocrine depot objects; salt/depot care.

Editorial review:
What evidence says

Evidence snapshot

This drawer marks papers. It is not a plan, a dose, or a source. A paper is a bounded report. It is not a protocol. Grades name the object. They are not a safety rating.

Identity lock. Triptorelin is a synthetic GnRH agonist (D-Trp6-LHRH). PubChem CID 25074470; formula C64H82N18O13 / MW 1311.4; CAS 57773-63-4 (triptorelin base; acetate / pamoate / embonate salts are formulation objects of the same peptide). Labeled oncology / endocrine objects exist in multiple jurisdictions (e.g. advanced prostate cancer androgen-deprivation; central precocious puberty; endometriosis — exact indications are label- and salt/depot-specific). This drawer marks papers for education. It is not use advice and does not replace product labeling.

Bottom line

Strongest evidence is labeled GnRH-agonist clinical use: prostate-cancer ADT reviews/updates, endometriosis treatment reviews, central precocious puberty depot data, plus PK/PD characterizations. Salt/depot differences (acetate vs pamoate/embonate; 1-month vs 3-month vs 6-month) matter for product identity. Do not treat gray-market “triptorelin acetate” vials as interchangeable with regulated depot products.

Papers

Prostate cancer / ADT

PMID 12058149 — 2002

Tested: monograph-style clinical information on triptorelin pamoate (Trelstar) as a GnRH agonist product object.

Does not show: that every acetate research vial equals the labeled pamoate depot.

PMID 20166771 — Keating 2010

Tested: review of triptorelin embonate 6-month formulation.

Does not show: acetate vial equivalence.

PMID 20969451 — Whelan 2010

Tested: triptorelin embonate 6-month formulation for prostate cancer.

Does not show: non-depot research-chemical interchangeability.

PMID 23252566 — Ploussard 2013

Tested: review of triptorelin in prostate-cancer management.

Does not show: a new primary pivotal by itself.

PMID 27246172 — Merseburger 2016

Tested: update on triptorelin and androgen-deprivation therapy thinking for prostate cancer.

Does not show: consumer peptide use guidance.

Endometriosis / CPP

PMID 24832495 — Leone Roberti Maggiore 2014

Tested: review of triptorelin for endometriosis treatment.

Does not show: that unlabeled acetate equals regulated gynecologic products.

PMID 29957076 — Bertelloni 2018

Tested: triptorelin depot for central precocious puberty in children ≥2 years (labeled-population framing).

Does not show: adult wellness or bodybuilding use.

PK / PD

PMID 15822863 — Lahlou 2005

Tested: pharmacodynamics of triptorelin.

Does not show: sourcing or compounding advice.

PMID 16302716 — Lahlou 2005

Tested: pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of triptorelin.

Does not show: off-label metabolic claims.

What is not established

Interchangeability of unlabeled acetate vials with labeled depot products (pamoate/embonate, multi-month microspheres). Any non-labeled “peptide fitness” use. That endometriosis or CPP labels transfer to unregulated products. This drawer does not provide use advice, schedules, or sourcing.
