This policy explains how Peptide Student (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit, apply for membership, participate in the community, or contact us.
Information we collect
- Account details: first and last name, email address, and ZIP or postal code. We do not collect phone numbers or street addresses.
- Marketing choice: whether you opted in to marketing email, when you chose, the wording shown, and any later unsubscribe.
- Account and activity data: login and email-confirmation status, sign-in dates, posts, replies, comments, vendor reports, moderation history, and support requests.
- Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, security logs, cookies, and basic site activity.
Your ZIP or postal code is visible only to site administrators. It is never shown on your profile or to other members.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure accounts; confirm email ownership; provide gated features; moderate content; respond to requests; prevent abuse; maintain records; understand site performance; comply with law; and, only with the applicable permission, send updates or marketing.
Email choices
Marketing email is optional and is not a condition of membership. Service and security emails may still be sent when needed to confirm or operate your account. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message. Consent is not transferred to another business for its independent marketing.
Vendor Watch submissions
When you send a vendor recommendation or problem report through Vendor Watch, we store your account, email address, IP address, browser information, the time you submitted, what you submitted, and any evidence files you upload. We keep this information private and use it only to review submissions and prevent abuse. Only site administrators can see it.
Your email address and IP address are never published. If we publish an entry, it uses a summary written by a reviewer, not your own text, and credits you the way you chose: by your display name or as “a member.” You can ask us to delete your submission and any files you uploaded through our contact form.
How information is shared
We may share information with hosting, security, email, analytics, moderation, and professional service providers that help operate the site; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell member contact information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and security
We keep information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, legal obligations, disputes, security, and enforcement. Verification and consent records may be retained after an account closes when needed to honor opt-outs or document compliance. No security method is perfect; use a unique password and do not post information you cannot safely make visible to other members.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to appeal a denied request. You may also withdraw marketing consent at any time. We may verify identity before completing a request. Use the Privacy Request form. Authorized agents may be asked for proof of authority.
Cookies and third-party links
We use essential cookies for login, security, preferences, and forms. Optional analytics or advertising technologies, if added, will be described in an updated notice and consent controls where required. Third-party sites have their own privacy practices.
Age limit
The site is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
International visitors and updates
Information may be processed in the United States. We may update this policy and will post a new effective date. Material changes may also be announced through the site or account contact information.
