5-Amino-1MQ
Small-molecule NNMT inhibitor — not a peptide; preclinical framing only.
Editorial review:Evidence snapshot
This drawer marks papers. It is not a plan, a dose, or a source. A paper is a bounded report. It is not a protocol. Grades name the object. They are not a safety rating.
Identity lock. 5-Amino-1MQ (5-amino-1-methylquinolinium; often studied as the iodide salt, synonym NNMTi) is a small-molecule nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) inhibitor — not a peptide. PubChem cation CID 950107 (C10H11N2+ / MW 159.21; CAS 685079-15-6); iodide salt CID 66522933 (C10H11IN2 / MW 286.11; CAS 42464-96-0). Pick cation vs iodide for any chemical badge; do not mix casually. It is not NAD+, not nicotinamide riboside / NMN, and not an AMPK activator like AICAR. Human clinical efficacy trials are absent from this pack — refuse fat-loss, longevity, or “NAD-boost” human glow entirely. This drawer marks preclinical and analytical papers. It is not use advice.
Bottom line
The PubMed core is mouse obesity / muscle-aging NNMT-inhibition work (Neelakantan series and follow-ons), rat PK/bioavailability analytics for 5-amino-1-methylquinolinium, and secondary NNMT-inhibitor translation reviews. No controlled human outcome trials for 5-Amino-1MQ appear in this Selected sources set. Metabolic wellness claims from forums are not evidence grades.

What is not established
Any human clinical efficacy for 5-Amino-1MQ. Fat-loss, longevity, or “NAD boosting” claims in people. Equivalence to NAD+ / NR / NMN supplementation trials (different objects). That mouse NNMT-inhibitor phenotypes equal consumer metabolic outcomes. Product identity for unlabeled research chemicals versus published tool compounds. This drawer does not provide use advice, schedules, or sourcing.
